First Time Buyers

First Time Buyers

Elizabeth Eversen is meeting the challenge to restore homeownership to the American Dream.

Considering buying your first home? From the initial consultation to your final walk-through, I am here to help you every step of the way. Here are some tips to help you onto the path of home ownership:

Buying is better than renting in most cities: Buying a home is an investment. With interest rates at a record low and tax rates favoring home ownership, buying a home is now more affordable than ever.

Hire Elizabeth Eversen: Finding a licensed real estate professional will make the process of buying a home as smooth and stress-free as possible.  I am committed to providing you with exceptional quality of service. I can assist you in the selection process by providing objective information about each property

Learn the Terms: It is important that you feel comfortable throughout the real estate process. I will help you navigate the home buying process or Click Here for a list of real estate terms

Improve Your Credit Score: If you are considering purchasing a home within the next year or two, avoid making any large purchases such as a car or taking out a loan. Get a copy of your credit report and request that any errors be removed.

Get Pre-Qualified: Prudential’s in-house mortgage company [California Premiere Lending] can help you understand different mortgage loan types and compare their required down payment amounts to the money you have available. In most cases, you must be pre-approved for a loan before your offer on a home will be considered.

Choosing a Home: Consider all the factors that are important to you such as proximity to schools, transportation, and entertainment, or features like a garage, kitchen amenities, and the size of your yard. Often, first time buyers become emotionally attached to a home – but beware factors that may arise throughout the escrow process including home inspection findings and hidden repair costs. I can help you select a home based on your criteria and budget, and help determine the best plan of action to find you the home of your dreams.
